A reading exercise, not a prediction of betting success.

Lions vs Bills O52.5

The two teams must combine for more than 52.5 points. O52.5 means Over 52.5 for the game total. The combined score must reach at least 53 points.

NBA PICK

Lakers +4.5

Show the answer

The Lakers can win outright or lose by 4 points or fewer. +4.5 is a point spread. Add 4.5 to the Lakers’ final score: if they still finish ahead, the pick wins. A win outright, or a loss by 1–4 points, covers. A loss by 5 or more does not.

MLB PICK

Yankees ML

The Yankees must win the game, subject to normal sportsbook settlement rules. ML means moneyline — a bet on the team to win the game, with no run spread attached. How extra innings, postponements and shortened games settle follows the sportsbook’s own rules.

NFL PICK

James Cook 1+ TD

James Cook must score at least one touchdown. 1+ TD means one or more touchdowns by that player. It does not have to be the first touchdown of the game — any touchdown James Cook scores counts. Exact settlement follows the sportsbook’s rules.

Jared Goff must record at least 249 passing yards. O248.5 means Over 248.5. Yards are counted in whole numbers, so 249 or more wins and 248 or fewer does not. The half-yard means this line cannot land exactly on the number.
